Author’s Note
When I was young, family picnics were the only time I could enjoy candies and chocolates, because they were rather expensive. Family picnic days remind me of those foods that I had when I was a kid. California rolls my mother made for me were always my favorite. Even children these days cannot eat whatever they want, though not always because of
financial difficulties; instead, children need a healthy diet. Regardless, family picnic days are still the happy days on which children can enjoy their favorite foods.
As I wrote this book, I hoped my son would experience the same excitement I felt when I was young. I have vivid memories of my picnic days, all of my favorite foods that I could eat on these special occasions, the excitement I experienced the night before and on the day of the picnic, and the surprises I found in my backpack, which was always filled with Mom’s love and care. I hope parents will share their warm memories of school picnic days with their kids through this story.

I am so grateful for your post.Really looking forward to read more. Want more.
The best picnics I can rmebmeer have revolved around a good collection of bottles of champagne that are not really champagne, ie Spanish Kava, Australian fizzy, French Creme etc. These are served at the same time as a large board (drawing board is great) on which you place a very diverse selection of cheeses. A box of crackers, oatcakes, digestives etc. Everyone has a knife. The fun is comparing and contrasting all the different champagnes and the cheeses. As you all have a bite and a sip of each others selection, things get very jolly. The cheese should be left out of refridgeration for a day to produce its best taste. My last such picnic was on the lawns at Kenwood Houseon Hampstead Heath with the BBC Symphony Orchestraplaying in the background.Heaven
